HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 11, 2004 -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has selected Intergraph Public Safety (Nasdaq:INGR) to deploy a state-wide computer aided dispatch (CAD) solution. The contract award value is $1.2 million.

Tennessee Highway Patrol is responsible for enforcing federal and state traffic laws on all roads in their state. THP's mission is to use information technology to improve public safety to the community while providing more timely, accurate and complete information for the Tennessee Department of Safety (TDOS) personnel. An Intergraph customer since 1998, THP will expand its current Intergraph CAD system beyond the 3rd district, which included the Nashville area, to span the entire state of Tennessee. The state-wide CAD deployment will add coverage to the Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Fall Branch, Cookeville, Lawrenceburg, and Jackson districts.
