NuoDB Announces Free 30-Day Trial Of Its Distributed Database On AWS Marketplace

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- NuoDB, a NewSQL leader in distributed database technology, today announced the availability of a 30-day free trial of the NuoDB database management system (DBMS) through  AWS Marketplace on Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Participants can use NuoDB in full production mode on AWS Marketplace and seamlessly convert the free trial into a paid subscription at the end of the 30-day trial period. Users will not have to reconfigure, enter new license keys or migrate data, thus streamlining their application deployment in the cloud. AWS infrastructure charges apply during the trial period.

In addition to the new 30-day trial offer, eligible customers also have the option to evaluate and deploy the NuoDB DBMS on Amazon EC2 Standard Micro (t1.micro) instance at no additional charge under the AWS Free Usage Tier; otherwise, AWS infrastructure charges apply.

"With AWS Marketplace Free Trials, customers can cut the time, effort, and costs involved in evaluating and deploying software," said Terry Hanold, Vice President, Cloud Commerce, AWS. "We are excited to have NuoDB offer a free trial version on AWS Marketplace. With deployment with a single click, customers can begin using NuoDB in minutes, and not have to deal with migration or re-deployment when they are ready to shift to production. After the trial, payments for NuoDB DBMS are also friction-free, with software charges simply showing on customers' AWS bill."

"We are pleased to provide a 30-day trial program on AWS Marketplace," stated Michael Waclawiczek, NuoDB Vice President of Marketing and Operations. "This program offers end-user companies and independent software vendors doing business on the AWS Marketplace, and their customers, a free and easy method to experience the unique benefits of NuoDB," concluded Waclawiczek.
