ProficientSales Server Release 4.0 is equipped with a multi-engagement feature that allows customer service or sales agents to enter into several customer engagements at one time, maximizing agent productivity by eliminating the need to wait for a customer to reply or resolve a customer issue before approaching the next customer in the queue. Additionally, customers can determine the number of engagements agents can handle, from one to five, across the enterprise or set the limit based on each agent's skill level. Agents invite customers into a secure private chat and can also co-browse independently with each customer.

In addition, enhancements were made to the Intelliproach(TM) feature, technology that continuously approaches Web site visitors based on their behavior and matches them with the optimal available sales or service agent. Agents can now create individual custom chat messages that are sent to a visitor automatically when an engagement begins, improving initial response time.

The upgrade also includes improvements to the user interface. ProficientSales Server 4.0(TM) "smart tabs" allow agents to easily see the status of each customer engagement, including whether a customer is awaiting a response from the agent and how long he or she has waited, whether the agent is awaiting a response from the customer, and if the engagement is in chat only or co-browsing mode.
