Paisley Consulting enhances CARDmap for compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley and evolving Basel II requirements

Organizations Gain Long-Term Enterprise Risk and Assurance Management Solution

COKATO, Minn., Jan. 19, 2005 -- Paisley Consulting, a leading provider of business accountability solutions, today announces the availability of CARD(R)map 4.5. This integrated enterprise risk and assurance management system supports organizations with both risk and control governance responsibilities and is fully compliant with the new COSO ERM framework. Expanding a suite of tools for both enterprise and SMB organizations, CARDmap is a cost effective and efficient system designed as a long-term solution. This latest release marks over a year of software development work to meet new requirements from customers, Sarbanes-Oxley sections 302 and 404, and the evolving Basel operational risk management rules for financial institutions.

"Senior management, work units, internal and external auditors, operational risk and insurance specialists, safety and environmental specialists and others are all involved in today's complex risk and compliance challenges," said Tim Welu, CEO of Paisley Consulting. "Paisley continues to integrate solutions and provide effective management tools for people at every level of the risk and assurance cycle. We continue to focus on providing customers with an integrated compliance architecture."

CARDmap, one of the first ERM systems on the market, is a web-enabled software program that charts and monitors all facets of an organization's operations. The solution is a systematic approach allowing users to create an accurate and up-to-date survey of objectives, risks, controls, and residual risk status. It identifies problems, monitors process performance, assigns responsibility and prioritizes action items. Over time, an integrated database of loss history, risk exposures, controls, residual risk status, action plans and quality assurance work for an entire organization is built.

Latest highlights include:

-- Reporter fields that alert and allow senior management to monitor significant control and risk issues and problems. New reporting features use Crystal Reports as the reporting engine.

-- Users can view CARD(R)lines based on their financial statement accounts and note disclosures or use the hierarchy to create views of specific regulatory requirements.

-- Improved custom fields feature allows easier modification and addition of new data capture fields.

-- Greater control and risk model flexibility with the ability to store several possible control models (COSO 1992, COSO 2004, COBIT, etc) and designate one as the primary control model for 404 certification purpose.

-- Additional support for documenting and planning quality assurance work of two levels of independent assurance providers with a secure external assurance document for external auditors or level two quality assurance, in addition to existing input features for internal auditors or business unit personnel.
