Informatica previews agenda for Informatica World 2006

Informatica CEO Sohaib Abbasi and salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff to Highlight Data Integration's Importance to Emerging Software-as-a-Service Model

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 24, 2006 -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today unveiled the agenda for Informatica World 2006, its eighth-annual worldwide customer and partner conference and one of the data integration industry's premier events. Taking place from May 22-25, 2006 in San Francisco, this year's conference will focus on the broadening role of enterprise data integration, and will be bracketed by unique educational events including a pair of full-day courses developed and delivered by The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI).

Informatica chairman and CEO Sohaib Abbasi will open the conference with a discussion titled "Data Integration for the Enterprise and the Business Web." His presentation will examine the new business imperatives driving enterprise data integration, spotlight the drive to ensure data quality across the enterprise and beyond, and demonstrate how a unified enterprise data integration platform supports such major trends as Software as a Service (SaaS), Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

Immediately following, chairman and CEO of salesforce.com Marc Benioff will deliver a presentation titled "The Future of Software: How the Business Web is Revolutionizing Enterprise Computing." Benioff will discuss why enterprise data integration is essential for customers who want to take advantage of this new era of innovation and creativity known as the Business Web.

Also presenting will be Royce Bell, chief executive officer of Accenture Information Management Services; Shari Rogalski, global business intelligence lead of Accenture Information Management Services; Informatica executive vice president of products Girish Pancha; and noted author, IT strategist and CEO of research think tank New Paradigm Don Tapscott, who will deliver a presentation titled "Winning in the Age of Business Webs." In addition, Gary Beach, group publisher at CXO Media, will moderate a CIO panel to discuss the "Top Integration Issues Facing the CIO."

Throughout the conference, 45 breakout sessions across six tracks will provide attendees the opportunity to delve into topics relevant to the data integration lifecycle including introductory, intermediate and advanced sessions on architecture and design, development, operations and support, data governance and management, and products and solutions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to query technology, product and support experts in the Hands-On Lab, and will be able to view more than 30 solution demonstrations conducted by Informatica partners.

Pre-conference full-day educational courses will include two courses developed and presented by TDWI titled "TDWI Data Warehousing Architectures: Choosing the Right Data Warehousing Approach" and "TDWI Data Integration Techniques." Post-conference education will include a set of concurrent, in- depth product sessions on the latest Informatica offerings featuring PowerCenter 8 and data quality.
