Intergraph honors outstanding customer and education award winners at GeoSpatial World 2004

More than 50 customers, students and educators honored for best-in-industry projects

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 4, 2004 -- Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions recently highlighted industry-notable projects in the awards ceremony at GeoSpatial World 2004, the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community annual international training and management conference, which was held May 12-14 in Miami Beach, Fla. The ceremony honored customers, students and educators in the areas of extraordinary geospatial best practices, outstanding performance in sales and service initiatives and solutions implementations, development of exceptional solutions to solve complex spatial analysis problems, and achievement of full digital conversion of geofacilities data, as well as excellence in education and cartography. Among this year's awards programs are:

-- Geospatial Achievement Awards

The worldwide competition recognizes Intergraph users who have developed innovative, technologically advanced mapping and geospatial solutions to better serve their communities or constituencies. The competition highlights organizations that help set the standard for the industry's future with the application of industry-leading solutions.

-- Intergraph Best Practices Awards and Student Poster Competitions

The international competitions recognize projects and programs based on Intergraph's geospatial technology. Students in higher-education institutions enter posters highlighting their creativity and the innovative use of geospatial software and technology in the classroom, while educators in either higher education or K-12 submit entries that demonstrate practical training and application of GIS-related programs in the classroom.

-- Awards for Cartographic Excellence

The Awards for Cartographic Excellence recognize professional excellence in the design, technique, aesthetics, innovation, communication, and presentation of plotted and printed maps and Internet presentations. Professional cartography and map-production customers, as well as students who use Intergraph mapping and geospatial software, were invited to participate in the competition.

-- Awards for Innovative Raster Analysis

The international awards program recognizes users who develop exceptional solutions to solve complex spatial analysis problems using Intergraph technology - GeoMedia or GeoMedia Professional and GeoMedia Grid - for a technically innovative raster project solution.

-- 100 Percent Club

Induction into the 100 Percent Club is an honor bestowed upon utility companies that have achieved full digital conversion of their geofacilities data. Membership recognizes the customer's dedication, teamwork, and achievement of a long-term goal.

-- Cutover Club

The Cutover Club, sponsored by the Global Geospatial Solutions Center for utilities and communications customers of Intergraph, honors InService customers who have achieved "live" operation of their outage or mobile workforce management systems.

-- Intergraph Registered Solutions Provider (RSP) Awards
