(NASDAQ: TIBX), a leading enabler of real-time business and the world’s largest independent business integration software company, today announced that Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) is deploying TIBCO® Staffware Process Suite, a Business Process Management (BPM) solution to cut down on the manual processes in its multi-layer governance and expenditure control system.

HKHS manages about 60 housing estates in Hong Kong and oversees the Estate Management, Repair and Maintenance Business. Also the Society has just embarked into the Building Management & Maintenance Schemes (BMMS), a new major focus of the organization’s business for the next decade targeted to improve the management and maintenance of old buildings in Hong Kong. HKHS uses TIBCO® Staffware Process Suite to streamline its internal funding and procurement process and to ensure that internal workflow procedures remain consistent with all staff in the different offices.

HKHS implemented TIBCO BPM solution to integrate fragmented manual processes and applications to create a smooth workflow for funding approvals. The system also ensures that internal workflow procedures remain consistent with all the remote offices in all the housing estates around Hong Kong.

As a result of the installation of the TIBCO solution, the Internal funding process can be completed within an hour as funding requests are now filed electronically for signatures. “Approvals are much faster and process turn around time has reduced by 50%,” said Peter Miao Corporate IT Manager, HKHS. The improved speed in the internal funding process resulted in enhanced organizational agility. Up-to-date management information was obtained to allow for timely business decisions as the real-time data is integrated into the financial system to reflect an accurate picture of the organization.

In addition, the HKHS was able to implement a consistent and transparent policy enforcement, which is critical for the society due to its non-government organization and public organization status. “A sound governance structure is highly important for us to assure our resources are being deployed in the most effective and efficient manner,” claimed Miao. “A solid business management platform can also serve as an enabler for future Business Activity Management and Performance Management Initiatives, which are currently being explored by the management.”
