What is the role of decision support in virtual organizations?

From a broad perspective, organizations are social arrangements of people who are working together to accomplish a shared goal. Adding the adjective "virtual" to the term organization, corporation or enterprise means the people or employees are likely employed by different legal entities. The people in a virtual organization work together and coordinate their tasks using information systems including DSS that have been interconnected using telecommunications, the Web and distributed computer applications.
