Model Base

A collection of preprogrammed quantitative models (e.g., statistical, financial, optimization) organized as a component or unit of a DSS or DSS Generator. The model base provides the model building blocks. It contains pre written programs and sub routines that can be used to construct applications. A model base management system is a software system that generates new routines and records model updates and changes the data manipulation. It is capable of connecting models with the appropriate linkage.
