Now available and specifically tailored to the needs of university students, the SAP® Student Academy program offers a strong value proposition to universities to make their students more employable through early in-study completion of SAP certifications. The program covers core SAP certification tracks in the major market categories of business applications, database and technology, analytics and mobile. SAP Student Academy is a joint initiative between the SAP® Education organization and the SAP® University Alliances program that aims to increase the placement of SAP certification curricula within the university sector through the provision of high-value, electronic learning content. It includes access to the well-established e-academy certification training offering from SAP Education, which consists of an extensive suite of e-learning courses mapped to the knowledge requirements of the respective SAP certification along with other supporting learning elements, such as simulations, demonstrations and exercises. SAP is offering the e-learning content within SAP Student Academy at a reduced rate for universities, helping them equip students with the knowledge needed to get started in the job market. Students are able to access a training server for a specified period in order to practice their acquired knowledge in an SAP solution training environment. If students have content-related questions along the learning path, they can receive remote, asynchronous tutor support from SAP Education. SAP Student Academy also offers universities access to an extensive e-learning subscription library that they can make available to their students so they can expand their knowledge across all SAP solution areas. "SAP Student Academy marks a big step forward for SAP and its ecosystem to build qualified SAP resources in the market at the university level and across all SAP solution areas, including the SAP HANA platform," said Markus Schwarz, senior vice president and global head, SAP Education. "Arming students with knowledge of SAP solutions can give them an extra advantage as they leave university and enter the workforce. Equally important, the online learning format provides students with the flexibility to access course content when they want and from the device of their choice." "For universities, SAP Student Academy provides a unique opportunity to complement existing education programs with professional learning content and training systems from SAP and allows universities to become part of the wider SAP network," said Ann Rosenberg, global head of SAP University Alliances. "By broadening their curricula to include more SAP content, educators can help their students attain full SAP certification."
