University of Tennessee hosts 9th bi-annual business analytics forum

Keynote Speakers Include Thought Leaders Stephen Few and Tim Wilson

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Tennessee presents its 9th bi-annual Business Analytics Forum to be held Thursday, September 11 and Friday, September 12 at the Carolyn P. Brown Memorial University Center. The Business Analytics Forum will host two keynote speakers: Stephen Few, one of the world's renowned experts and thought leaders on business analytics, quantitative techniques and data analysis and Tim Wilson, a partner at Web Analytics Demystified.

The forum will include open discussions, small group sessions and a job fair. During these activities, attendees will get the opportunity to hear first hand from companies that highly value data-based decision-making. "The Business Analytics Forum is continuously striving to bring to our campus the most cutting-edge and innovative speakers to educate our students and expose them to real world business analytics and its impacts on every day life," says University of Tennessee Business Analytics and Statistics Department Head, Chuck Noon.

Stephen Few is an innovator, consultant and educator in the fields of business intelligence and information design. Few has worked with a wide variety of companies such as Facebook, Microsoft, T-Mobile, the United States Government and with universities across the country. Tim Wilson, a partner at Web Analytics Demystified has been working in the digital analytics industry for over 12 years. Wilson has worked with major brands such as Hewlett-Packard and Purina.
